# Markup

The Markup Tool lets you annotate, draw, and edit directly on your xFigura board. Access it anytime from the left toolbar.

* **Pen** — freehand draw on your board. Sketch ideas, mark up designs, leave notes
* **Eraser** — remove any markup you've made, clean and simple
* **Shapes** — add shapes to your board to highlight, frame, or organise content
* **Text** — drop a text box anywhere on your board and type away 💬

### Selecting Multiple Nodes 🔲

Click and drag your mouse across the board to draw a selection area. Everything inside gets selected at once.

Once selected you can:

* **Group** — bundle your selection into one object to move or edit together
* **Save as Template** — turn your selection into a reusable template for future boards
