# Image to Image

This node is for transforming an existing picture. You can use it to iterate, restyle, alter, or add new details while keeping the original composition of your images.

Already have an image you want to build on? xFigura's image-to-image workflow lets you use any visual as a starting point and transform it with a prompt.

**Step 1: Open the Node List** Click twice on the canvas to open the node list, select Image, and pick the model you want to work with.

**Step 2: Add Your Source Image** Upload your own image directly, or connect an existing image generation node already on your canvas.

**Step 3: Write Your Prompt and Adjust Settings** Type in your prompt and tweak the model parameters to your liking — same controls as text-to-image.

**Step 4: Generate** Click Generate. Most models let you produce up to 4 images at once — click the "+" sign to add more output slots.

> **Tip:** For style transfer, use the Flux Kontext Max model. You can find it in the settings under the Flux Kontext model options.

**Step 5: Continue Your Workflow** Connect your outputs to another image as a reference, or keep building — upscale, inpaint, generate 3D, video, and more.
